Day 1: Tuesday 24 (D)
We are picked up from our home addresses anywhere in the greater Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch areas and taken to the airport to meet our Tour Escort and our fellow travellers. We depart on the short flight across the Tasman to the vibrant city of Melbourne, Australia. On arrival we are transferred to our hotel, the beautiful SOFITEL Melbourne. Passengers who arrive prior to 8.00p.m. will have a light meal at the hotel.
Day 2: Wednesday 25 (BD)
This morning we enjoy breakfast at the hotel before joining our coach for a sightseeing tour of the city. Visit Fitzroy Gardens and see Captain Cooks Cottage, See Parliament house, Windsor hotel. Queen Victoria Market, The Melbourne Cricket ground (MCG), Rod Laver Arena, Flinders St Station, Young & Jacksons Hotel, and St Patrick’s Cathedral. Travel past the Grand Prix Race Track, the Westgate Bridge and over the Bolte Bridge for great views of Melbourne. View Port Phillip Bay, the Yarra River and Victorian Arts Centre and see the Melbourne Aquarium. The tour finishes at Federation Square and you are then free for the afternoon to take in Melbourne’s culture, history and character at your own pace. This evening join your Tour Manager as we are taken to the Southbank to join our dinner cruise. Enjoy four courses with wines and beers whilst taking in the stunning views of the city and the cosmopolitan culture that is Melbourne on the vibrant Yarra River.
Day 3: Thursday 26 (BD)
After breakfast this morning we are transferred to the Melbourne International Flower show. Here we can enjoy the show at our own pace. Be amazed by the wonderful outside garden designs all vying for a win on this international stage. Then perhaps a visit to the floral displays on show at the exhibition hall. Entries from all round the world will enthral you. Such a lot to see and plenty of time to enjoy a stop for something to eat throughout the day. Your choice as to how long you spend at the show. You can make your own way back to the hotel when you feel like it. Tonight join your Tour Manager for dinner at the hotel.
Day 4: Friday 27 (B MT L)
A day full of gorgeous scenery today. We join our coach and travel out to the Dandenongs. Our first stop is the delightful Grants Café where we enjoy homemade scones and a tea and coffee. Time here to feed the wild birds so have the camera ready. Then we travel on to Belgrave where we join the famous steam train “Puffing Billy”.
We travel through Sherbrooke forest with many magnificent examples of the native “mountain ash” trees—a form of Eucalypt and the tallest flowering plant in the world. We cross the famous Trestle Bridge 300 feet long (91.4m) and 42 feet high (12.8m). We arrive at the highest station on the line, Emerald where we meet our coach. We have included a beautiful two course lunch served in the Heritage dining carriages. We journey on to Cloudehill Nursery’s where you will be enthralled by the beautiful foliage on display. Time to enjoy a wander here before returning to Melbourne. Dinner is on own arrangements tonight. Your Tour Manager can help with suggestions.
Day 5: Saturday 28 (BD)
We have left today free for you. Melbourne has so much to offer from Shopping in the variety of stores available. Perhaps a visit to Docklands where the factory shops are located or visit the Markets. You may prefer to spend some more time at the Garden Show. Your Tour Manager can assist you with booking extra sightseeing options. Enjoy dinner tonight with your Tour Manager.
Day 6: Sunday 29 (B)
Today our last day in Melbourne. Those travelling back to Wellington and Christchurch have early flights and those travellers returning to Auckland will be leaving later in the day. We will have to check out at around 11.00a.m. but the hotel will store our baggage until we are ready to leave on our transfer to the airport.
On arrival back to our home ports we will be taken back to our home addresses in the greater Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch areas.

A non refundable deposit of $700 per person would be payable in order to confirm a place on the tour.
Final payment would be due no later than 18th January 2020
If you wish to have a guaranteed single room on board the tour a supplement of $895.00 is payable.
We are pleased to offer a loyalty discount of $50.00 per person to those clients who have travelled with us previously (not combinable with any other offers).
If you are travelling alone but would be happy to share a twin room we are happy to room you with another single traveller of the same gender. If we are unable to do so WE pay the single supplement.

Maggie is an experienced tour guide having spent seven years guiding throughout Europe, Russia, Scandinavia, Egypt and Morocco when she was ‘younger’! Maggie then came back to NZ and has worked in the travel industry here for over 25 years and has escorted numerous travel agent and media trips to places such as China, Las Vegas, Bangkok, Norfolk Island, India, Ireland and the UK, USA and Asia (to name just a few ) in her roles within the travel Industry. She was the Manager of the British Tourist Authority in Auckland for nine years and then with worked with Marriott International Hotels for a further nine years. Maggie loves travel, and loves to show people wonderful places. She has a great sense of humour and likes to ensure that people not only experience all the wonderful sights, but that they have a fun time as well.
Visitors to our office will always get the “once over” from Charlie who is our Head of Security.
Charlie is a Bichon Frise and loves coming to work with Terri each day. When he is not on guard he can be found sleeping under Terri’s desk.
