Day 1: (D) Sunday 18 August:
This morning we are picked up from our home addresses anywhere in the greater Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch areas and we join our short flight to Brisbane. On arrival we are met and join our coach for the journey up the coast to our “home away from home” the 4* Oaks Oasis Resort in Caloundra, 200 metres from the clear and calm ocean waters of Pumicestone Passage and Golden Beach and set in 10 acres of landscaped Palm gardens. All rooms have private bathroom, air conditioning and 32inch LCD T.V. There is a beautiful lagoon style pool and spa to enjoy during our stay here. Tonight join our Tour Manager for dinner at the hotel in the restaurant surrounded by lily ponds.
Day 2: (BD) Monday 19 August
We join our coach for the drive to the famous Eumundi Markets—great fun for the bargain hunters. With over 500 market stalls under the iconic and towering heritage listed fig trees. Wide shady walkways make strolling amongst the stalls and old quirky buildings a pleasant experience. There’s an abundance of all things handmade. Later in the afternoon, we’ll make a visit to the Ginger Factory & Nutworld before returning to the hotel.
Day 3: (BLD) Tuesday 20 August
This morning you might like to visit the popular Caloundra Street Fair Market before joining Caloundra Cruises to discover this waterways rich sea faring history. Marvel at the superb scenery of the Moreton Bay Marine Park and then stop at the Pelican Waters Tavern for a lovely lunch before returning to our hotel late afternoon. Time for a swim before dinner perhaps?
Day 4: (B MT D) Wednesday 21 August
Today is a day for the Garden lovers! We join our coach for a visit to Maleny Botanical gardens. Currently covering 8 acres we enjoy a Devonshire tea and then wander through the walking paths with thousands of different plants from Roses to Azaleas and annuals to some of the rarest Cycads in the world. Complemented by cascading waterfalls and ponds and abundant birdlife it will be a day for the camera! We then enjoy a visit to the historic Montville with time to browse through the many arts and crafts shops at this delightful village. Return to the hotel late afternoon.
Day 5: (BLD) Thursday 22 August
After a leisurely breakfast we join our coach and travel to Bli Bli where we visit the delightful privately owned Bali Hai, a garden featuring Balinese statues, water features and some beautiful planting. Time to enjoy a wander before re-joining our coach and heading up the coast to our lunch stop overlooking the water. After lunch we travel onto Noosa and one of Australia’s most elegant shopping strips—Hastings Street. Just a few steps from the turquoise waters of Noosa Main Beach. Time to browse the shops before our return to the hotel.
Day 6: (BLD) Friday 23 August
This morning we farewell the Sunshine Coast and travel via Sanctuary Cove, home to some big super yachts and some stunning Real Estate. We will stop here and enjoy a lovely lunch at a local restaurant.. After lunch travel to the Gold Coast and our home for the next 4 nights at the beautiful Crown Plaza Hotel. Spacious rooms with balconies to enjoy the sunshine. Have a swim in their gorgeous pool. Enjoy dinner tonight at the hotel.
DAY 7: (BD) Saturday 24 August
After breakfast we join our coach for a sightseeing tour of the local Gold Coast Area . See the white sand beach that is iconic around the world, visit Harbour town, Australia’s largest outlet centres with over 240 stores offering up to 70% discount. Time here also for some lunch with over 20 el fresco dining options to choose from (own expense) Early afternoon we return to the hotel in time to enjoy a swim or a relax on your balcony.
DAY 8: (B,MT,D) Sunday 25 August
Enjoy a buffet breakfast before we join our coach and travel inland to Tamborine Mountain, a 28 square kilometers plateau in the Hinterland of the Gold Coast. The name is of Aboriginal origin and has nothing to do with the musical instrument. We stop for a delicious morning tea at the River Mill café. Say hello to the Cockatiels who will give you some cheek and feed the turtles. We journey on to Tamborine with beautiful views of the Coast and into the clean crisp air of the rainforest environment. Time to visit some of the quaint craft shops before returning to our hotel.
DAY 9: (BD) Monday 26 August
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then your day is at leisure. Time to have a wee peak at the newly refurbished Pacific Fair or try out the fabulous new tram which travels the length of Surfers through to Broadbeach. Your Escort will assist you with any sightseeing options you might like to enjoy. Tonight enjoy a special farewell dinner at the revolving restaurant high in the sky of the hotel. Enjoy views as far as the eye can see, from the stunning Surfers Paradise coastline to the awe-inspiring views of the Gold Coast hinterland. Be enticed to take an exquisite flavour journey, indulging in quality cuisine prepared using only the freshest, locally-sourced produce. Experience a mouth-watering array of dishes to suit every taste at the delicious Seafood and Central Mediterranean buffet . A perfect end to the tour.
DAY 10: (B) Tuesday 27 August
Our last day today and still plenty to see. We check out of the hotel and join our coach for the drive to Brisbane Airport for our homeward flight.

Maggie is an experienced tour guide having spent seven years guiding throughout Europe, Russia, Scandinavia, Egypt and Morocco when she was ‘younger’! Maggie then came back to NZ and has worked in the travel industry here for over 25 years and has escorted numerous travel agent and media trips to places such as China, Las Vegas, Bangkok, Norfolk Island, India, Ireland and the UK, USA and Asia (to name just a few ) in her roles within the travel Industry. She was the Manager of the British Tourist Authority in Auckland for nine years and then with worked with Marriott International Hotels for a further nine years. Maggie loves travel, and loves to show people wonderful places. She has a great sense of humour and likes to ensure that people not only experience all the wonderful sights, but that they have a fun time as well.
Visitors to our office will always get the “once over” from Charlie who is our Head of Security.
Charlie is a Bichon Frise and loves coming to work with Terri each day. When he is not on guard he can be found sleeping under Terri’s desk.
