Day 1: Thursday 03 July 2025

This morning we are picked up from our home addresses anywhere in the greater Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch areas to join our short flight to Brisbane.  On arrival we are met and join our coach for the journey to the Sunshine coast and our “home away from home” for the next four nights at the 4 star beachfront resort—Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort/Twin Waters

Day 2: Friday 04 July 2025 (BLD)

A leisurely breakfast at the hotel this morning before joining our coach for a sightseeing tour of the Sunshine Coast.  We will also enjoy a Seafood Lunch cruise as we follow the scenic Mooloolaba canals for a relaxing 1.5 hours. Sit back and enjoy a selection of fresh seafood and delicious salads with a licenced bar as well.  Our seafood lunch includes prawns, oysters, bug or crab (depending on season).  Not only can you take the view to new heights with exclusive access to the outdoor viewing decks, but with the cruise including live commentary you can also learn a little more about this beautiful region.  Return to the         Novotel late afternoon with time at leisure before dinner at the hotel.

Day 3: Saturday 05 July 2025 (BD)

We join our coach for the drive to the      famous  Eumundi Markets — great fun for the bargain hunters.  500 market stalls positioned under the iconic and towering heritage listed fig trees. Wide shady walkways make strolling amongst the stalls and old quirky buildings a pleasant experience. There’s an abundance of all things handmade.  We’ll then coach to Noosa, surrounded by nature, a tapestry of waterways, untouched national parks,             wide-open beaches, and clear salty air.  We will have time to check out the retail precincts and unique seaside shopping villages, don’t miss out on a little retail therapy while we are here.

Day 4: Sunday 06 July 2025

Today is a day for the Garden lovers! We join our coach for a visit to Maleny Botanical gardens.  Currently covering 8 acres we enjoy a Devonshire tea and then wander through the walking paths with thousands of different plants from Roses to Azaleas and annuals to some of the rarest Cycads in the world. Complemented by cascading waterfalls and ponds and abundant birdlife it will be a day for the camera!  We then enjoy a visit to the historic Montville with time to browse through the many arts and crafts shops at this delightful village.  Return to the hotel late afternoon.

Day 5: Monday 07 July 2025 (BD)

This morning, we farewell the Sunshine Coast and travel via Brisbane to the Gold Coast our home for the next 4 nights at the 5-star Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach Hotel. It is in an amazing location just 300m away from the beach and features two outdoor pools overlooking Broadbeach.  Across the road from Pacific Fair for some retail therapy, the Star Casino if you want to try your luck and the trams run frequently in and out of Surfers if you want to go further afield. Enjoy dinner at the hotel tonight.

Day 6: Tuesday 8 July 2025 (BL)

We join our coach and travel into the Hinterland and Mt Tamborine.  Enjoy the drive up through the forest and perhaps spot the occasional Koala or Kangaroo in their own habitat. We will tour the area with its shops and wineries and then enjoy lunch at the St Bernard Hotel, renowned for the magnificent views from the decks and the beautiful St     Bernard Dogs that you get to see whilst you are there.

Tonight, dinner is your own choice. There are plenty of choices within walking distance of the hotel.  Your Tour Manager will assist with choices.

Day 7: Wednesday 09 July 2025 (BD)

Enjoy breakfast before we join our coach and travel to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. It’s been 75 years since the sanctuary, then known as the Currumbin Bird Sanctuary, first opened to the public. It all started when Alex Griffiths, a bee and flower keeper, attracted local attention when he began feeding the lorikeets at his Currumbin home to keep them from feasting on the plants in his prized garden.  In 1947 he decided to open a small-scale lorikeet feeding display to the public.  He called it Currumbin Bird Sanctuary.  In 1995 it was renamed the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and is now an iconic tourist attraction in Queensland housing a myriad of different animals. The sanctuary focuses heavily on animal welfare with its own hospital on site. We walk round the park at our own pace and check out our favorite wildlife. There is also time for us to enjoy something to eat here (own expense). We rejoin our coach and see Elephant Rock, a well-known rock formation located on Currumbin Beach and is the remains of ancient volcanic activity.  We continue up the coast to Coolangatta and Tweed Heads—the views are amazing!  Return to our hotel late afternoon.

Day 8: Thursday 10 July 2025 (B SD)

Today your day is at leisure. Perhaps visit the Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, Gold Coast’s unmissable shopping, dining and entertainment destination or try out the fabulous new tram which travels the length of Surfers.  A swim in the hotel pool or a walk on the glorious soft white sandy beach is another option. Your Tour Manager will assist you with any sightseeing options you might like to enjoy.

Early evening we join our coach and travel down to Marina Mirage where we join our skipper on our electric boats as we cruise through the Gold Coast Canals whilst hearing about the million-dollar homes and the history of the coast.  Get the cameras out as we view the sunset while enjoying the lack of noise on our electric cruisers. We return to the Marina and enjoy a delightful meal overlooking the water. (Due to flight schedules, some passengers will depart for Brisbane after dinner for an overnight stay at the airport before early morning flight tomorrow)

Day 9: Friday 11 July 2025 (B)

Our last day today and still plenty to see. We check out of the hotel and join our coach for the drive to Brisbane Airport for our homeward flight.
